Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing an embossing project. You can choose any kind of embossing such as heat embossing, embossing folders or using embossing paste, the choice is yours.
You may have hopped over from Rochelle Blok’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.
I’ve used the “You’re Invited” card on page 107 as my inspiration however I’ve turned it into a Christmas Card instead of an invitation.
I’ve changed the layout from portrait to landscape and also changed the colour scheme but I think you’ll see some resemblance to the sample card, other than the heat embossed sentiment haha.
I know it’s only July but yes, this is my first Christmas card for the year. My card base is Basic Beige followed by a layer of Pool Party then a layer of Country Lace DSP. I’ve used the Online Exclusive Golden Greenery stamp set and matching dies to create the pine leaves. This is a two step stamp set and if you look closely you’ll see I’ve stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow then I’ve White Heat Embossed the second stamp over the top. There’s also some leaves from the Cheerful Daisies and Unbounded Love Dies.
I’ve added a green and gold leaf directly die cut from the Season of Green & Gold SDSP, some die cuts from the Perennial Postage Dies and some Basic White Baker’s Twine. The sentiment is from the Greetings of the Season stamp set, another Online Exclusive product.
This week Marvi was wide awake and ready for a photo. No cat napping for this puss today.

Great card! I love your version of this card! And the cluster of greenery is just awesome.
A beautiful Christmas card Peta. Congratulations on starting your prep. I love your use of heat embossing – not only for the gorgeous gold sentiment but also a white layer on your pine leaves. Also love your layering of Perennial Postage die cuts. Love it. x
Love your colour palette Peta. All those die cut leaves create such a beautiful card. x
A gorgeous Christmas card Peta. I love your CASE and how you changed the design layout. Your embossing touches give your card a very regal look. Thanks for sharing! Rochelle xo
